Whitewater Rafting Trips
Whitewater rafting trips take place on the Watauga and the Nolichucky Rivers as well as on Wilson Creek. Selection of river varies with time of year due to water levels, level of difficulty, age, and duration of trip. Trips range from two to seven hours.
Waterway - Watauga River
Level - Basic, Class 2 to Class 3 introduction to white water
Season - April through September
Minimum Age - 3 years
Duration - 2 - 3 hours, 4.5 miles long

Waterway - Lower Nolichucky
Level - Basic to Intermediate
Season - April through Mid-June, possibly through September depending on rainfall
Minimum Age - 5 years
Duration - 2 - 3 hours, 5 miles long

Level - Basic to Intermediate
Season - April through September
Minimum Age - 9 years, 60 pounds
Duration - 2 - 7 hours, 11 miles long

Season - Available based on water conditions of 800 cubic feet per second
