Chetola Resort has teamed up with Covey Hollar Preserve to offer Bird Hunting Packages. 

Covey Hollar is just a short drive from Chetola nestled just off the Blue Ridge Parkway.  You will be picked up at Chetola by your guide.  Upon arrival at the preserve, you will be given a brief safety orientation and a description of what to expect on your hunt.  Not having your own shotgun is not a problem; your package includes the right shotgun to match your size and experience. 

Upon booking your hunt, you will be asked to choose one of three birds or a combination of these birds.  Select from quail, chukar or pheasant. 

Your hunt includes 30 quail or a combination of birds.  Pricing for additional birds is as follows:

• Quail - $8.00 each
• Chukar - $13.00 each
• Pheasant - $25.00 each

At the end of the half day, you will be transported back to Chetola Resort.

Sample Pricing

• October 25 through December 24, 2009*  $441 per person for two nights in a hillside room (weekdays), a half day hunting trip and breakfast each morning of stay.
• October 25 through December 24, 2009*  $449 per person for two nights in a hillside room (week-ends), a half day hunting trip and breakfast each morning of stay. (*excluding November 25 through 29, 2009)

Package prices above do not include room tax or Hunting Preserve License Fee of $15.00.
